FAQs

Can I cook on site?

No you may not. There will be two ovens going at steady temps, first come first served. To the one person who asked about freezer space, this is available for you. If there are any other accommodations, please let me know.

No raw food this year guys, you know who you are.

Do I have to try the sandwichs to vote?

No, you do not. I you have any personal, medical, or moral reason you do not want to eat something, you do not have to. No questions will be asked. You can still vote, but it becomes a question of which sandwich has the best vibes.

What is a sandwich?

If you can reasonably argue that it is a sandwich, it qualifies. Is a ravioli a sandwich? Only if you make a compelling case. Points are not given for creativity here, you just have to beat out everyone else.

What is the dress code?

The dress code is hats. If you do not wear one, one will be provided for you.

Please also wear clothes in addition to the hat (you know who you are)

What should I expect?

The competition is bracketed. At each stage, the two competitors will present their sandwiches and everyone will try them. We will then vote on who moves forward. The entrants are NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK AT THIS TIME. No counter arguments will be heard.

Upon announcing the entrant moving forward, the group will look the loser in the eye and tell them why they lost. This is comedy.

Parking

Street parking is available on Brandy Station Court, but carpooling is encouraged.

Should I bring a gift?

NO GIFTS. If you’re feeling extra generous, donate to your local animal shelter under the best fake name you can come up with.
